My Story

I am doing something amazing for my local hospital! On September 16th, I will be abseiling 90ft down the Great Western Hospital to raise money for my local hospital and the Way Forward Programme.

The urgent and emergency care expansion is the second phase of the Way Forward Programme at the hospital and will be the biggest ever investment to the hospital site and follows the opening of the new Urgent Treatment Centre and Radiotherapy Centre last year. The 1,492 square metre extension will house a larger emergency department, including a new children’s emergency unit, add a same-day emergency care and joint initial assessment unit, and improve links between all sections of the department and the new Urgent Treatment Centre.
