The Meadows Team - Brave the Shave

My Story
Hello, my name is Sharon and myself along with 3 colleagues – Mandi, Clair and Tracy work in The Meadows at the Great Western Hospital and are planning to ‘Brave the Shave’ on the 1st March to fundraise for the department.
The Meadows is an outpatient area for patients with a cancer diagnoses who are having Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy) and supportive treatment. We have decided to shave our hair to raise money, the money raised will be used to purchase a point of access blood testing machine. The machine will enable quicker blood results and will lead to a better patient experience.
Some of our patients lose their hair when undergoing certain treatments, we are not only doing this to raise funds, but to also will give us a greater understanding of the emotional and psychological feelings our patients face every day.
The Shave will be taking place at SOLO hairdressers on Grange Drive, Stratton on 1st March at 12pm.
